THE THREE MOST COMMON CHURCH AV PROJECTS

1. REPLACE AN ANALOG MIXER WITH A DIGITAL MIXER.  A digital mixer is capable of saving and recalling presets. I hear stories about the church sound system being used for a wedding and all the settings are changed. This can cause a lot of problems come Sunday morning. With a digital mixer, you can recall the same starting point with every service. You can also save special settings for cantatas and plays. With the features available in the new mixers, you can get a better and more consistent sound. Pricing has come down significantly over the last few years. We can replace your old mixer and set-up the new mixer starting under $1,000.00 if you are willing to operate the system from your own IPad, cell phone, tablet, or laptop. The most common system that we are doing runs around $3,500; this includes installation, set-up, training, and operating the mixer during the Sunday morning worship service, as well as saving that preset for future use.

2.  REPLACE AND/OR ADD WIRELESS MICROPHONES.  Wireless Microphones are a great way to keep the platform clean and clear of cables. It gives the user the ability to move around freely to express their self. The FCC made some frequencies no longer available and will be illegal to use in the near future. There are rebate programs available to replace these old systems to help offset the cost. In my experience, the best way to set up a system of four or more microphones is to have all the receivers in a rack, away from other electronic equipment. An antenna and power distribution unit allows all of the receivers to work off of the same two antennas. This cuts out having receivers placed all over the booth or stacked with antennas crossing each other. You can also upgrade the two main antennas. There are less expensive options, but this system has worked well for me in the past. A Shure BLXR four mic system with a rack, antenna and power distribution, upgraded antennas, delivered, set-up and connected into your current system is around $2,500.00. 3. PROJECTOR AND SCREEN.  A projector and screen has been on the top three list of AV projects for many years. With everyone having HD television at home on their flat screens, the expectation of quality has risen over the years. They expect to see clear, detailed images from video.  A 5,000 Lumen HD projector sells for $1,975.00. Installation can widely vary depending on the size of the screen (sometimes you can get by without a screen), cabling, and other video equipment.  Call or email us and we can come take a look and give you an exact quote.
